Why it matters more than mileage
Every extra hundred feet between the truck and your door gets multiplied by every box you own. Crews walk that distance dozens of times, and it's billed as labor.
Know your block

- Read the street sweeping signs for your move day and hour
- Look for alley access; older buildings often load faster from the back
- Ask whether your street can take a 26-foot truck or needs a shuttle
